Q: Can I see the archive for UNC’s 1993 NCAA championship basketball season?
A: At this point, no, we are only archiving the current seasons for the selected programs and each of their seasons going forward. However, because we are so aware of the value it would offer, we are continually researching the possibility of retroactively archiving past seasons.
Q: What if my favorite team’s program is not being archived? Is there any way to add
programs to the ones you currently archive?
A: Right now the programs we are currently archiving can be found on the Archive Map Page. As we move forward we will continually reassess the possibility of archiving additional programs. You should continually check the Archive Map Page. As we are able to archive additional programs, we will add team logos to the map. We will also announce any additional programs via, Twitter, Face book, and the Athletic Archives Blog. Be sure to follow our progress!
Q: Who can be a sponsor of Athletic Archives?
A: The ideal sponsor of Athletic Archives is a business owner who not only benefits by receiving a hard copy of an annual yearbook for his or her favorite program's season, but also benefits by promoting his or her business through a sponsorship.
Q: Can I purchase an annual yearbook if I am not a sponsor?
A: No, you cannot. The annual yearbooks are strictly a complimentary gift to selected Athletic Archives sponsors. To find out how to qualify for your complimentary yearbook please email How to become a Sponsor .
Q: Can I purchase a sponsorship for a program in another state?
A: Absolutely. If you want to purchase a sponsorship for a program in another state, you may, but you will have to decide where you would like your sponsorship to appear. You may choose for you sponsorship to appear in your area on another program’s page, but receive a copy of your program’s yearbook. Or, you may choose to have your sponsorship appear in your program’s area.
Q: Is Athletic Archives in any way affiliated with these Universities?
A: No. We are not an extension of any University and we are not affiliated with any University. We simply want to provide the public with a place to come and revisit or research the histories of our country’s most famous college athletic programs. There are far too many amazing accomplishments and memories that have not been archived over the last 100 or so years. We would like to remedy that by documenting and preserving each season as it happens for future generations to revisit and enjoy.
